Name: Flickchart Quick Pitch: Flickchart is a social network for film lovers to rate, compare and share their favorite films through a unique game-like one versus one mechanism. Genius Idea: If you’re a movie lover, or even just someone who watches the occasional film, Flickchart is a unique take on rating and socializing your favorite movies. The site shows you two movies at a time and prompts you to pick which one you liked better; if you haven’t seen one or either film just click a button to indicate that and get new choices. Over time, Flickchart builds a prioritized list of your favorite movies. It uses the aggregate data from all its users to create charts of the most popular films that you can then break down with all sorts of filters including genre, year or decade, actors, directors and by other users. You can also leave comments on any of your comparisons and share films and lists with your friends on Facebook and FriendFeed. Users can also check out the aggregate stats about individual films, and going in discussions about particular matchups conveniently organized by popularity so you can find the hottest current topics easily. The site also keeps track of the films you’ve marked as “haven’t seen,”
