The plain old Zune media player never quite cut the mustard, so now Microsoft’s cutting it loose to make room for the Zune HD . All Zune models, from the 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB SDD players to the 80 GB and 120 GB HDD behemoths, will be phased out once the Zune HD arrives on September 15.
